Political action guidelines and advisory regarding Texas Right to Life

Every two years the bishops of Texas, as the Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops, issue guidelines for political activity for pastors and other parish leaders. You will find the latest guidelines attached. These are also available on our website, and can be used as a bulletin insert, a handout or in other means you deem appropriate to assist Catholics in exercising their duties as faithful citizens.

In addition, the bishops have issued an advisory regarding Texas Right to Life’s attempts to recruit from and engage with parishes. Please review this document carefully. You are welcome to share this document with clergy, parish leaders, campus ministers, high school principals, and those involved in pro-life ministry in the Church. If you want to share it with a larger audience than these five groups, please seek the approval of your local bishop.
